Cambridge ESOL has long been the international standard for English Language testing and evaluation. It is only natural that our courses lead to their international qualifications. Cambridge ILEC (International Legal English Certificate) is based on realistic tasks and topics that legal practitioners might expect to encounter in their daily working lives.
Course Contents
Our Legal English course covers vocabulary related to the Legal Profession, Common Law systems (US & UK), Banking and Business law, Company Law, Contract Law, Employment Law, Intellectual Property Law, the law of Tort, Sale of Goods and Real Property Law. It also provides the necessary tools for the drafting of legal correspondence: letters, faxes and emails.
Since 2008, Widd Professional English succesfully coached more than 60% of the students sitting the exam in Uruguay, all of which passed the exam in the November session.

ILEC and PRE-ILEC sessions are held on the following:
AUTUMN MODULE
Dates:
- 19th May through 10th November.
- Winter break: 28th June through 16th July
- Spring break: 20th September through 15th October
- Exam: Saturday 13th November
Lessons:
- ILEC :Wednesdays from 6 to 9 PM
- PRE-ILEC: Wednesdays from 8.30 to 10.30 AM
The entry requirement for this course is to be 18 years old at the time of enrolment and to pay an admission fee of $600, which covers the cost of materials used in the course.
