The course is aimed at both students and medical practitioners, whether they be Nurses, Assistants, Paramedics, Doctors.
The syllabus covers vocabulary areas related to the Human Body as well as
- vocabulary involved in diagnosis, such as signs & symptoms, conducting a medical examination, providing treatment, and dealing with instruments, supplies and medications.
Another feature of our course is the inclusion of the language of interviews, talks and conferences, as well as the use of abbreviations and acronyms in medicine, the difficulties of Greek and Latin terminology, and reading and writing scientific literature, articles and letters.
The course is suitable for those medical professionals seeking to sit the UBELT test from the University of Bath. The UBELT test is administered upon commission for General Practitioners, Dentists, Nurses and Pharmacists.
AUTUMN MODULE
Dates:
- 17th May through 13th December.
- Winter break: 28th June through 16th July
- Spring break: 20th September through 15th October
Lessons:
- Mondays from 8 to 10 pm
- Tuesdays from 4 to 6 pm.
The entry requirement for these courses is to be 18 years old at the time of enrolment, to complete a placement entrance test and to pay an admission fee of $600, which covers the cost of materials used in the course.
